Please read carefully to ensure the best possible outcome from your treatment.
Before Your Appointment:
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.
- Refrain from taking anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications for at least 2 weeks before treatment, if approved by your healthcare provider.
These include:
- Aspirin
- Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), Aleve, and other NSAIDs
- Vitamin E
- Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, and St. John’s Wort
- Omega-3/Fish Oil supplements
- Consider taking Arnica and Bromelain before and after treatment to help minimize bruising.
- Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks before any special events, such as weddings or vacations. Bruising and swelling—especially with dermal
fillers—are more noticeable during the first week.
- Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area.
- If you have a history of cold sores, let your provider know. An antiviral medication may be recommended prior to treatment.
- Eat and stay hydrated before your procedure. This helps reduce the chance of feeling lightheaded during treatment.
- Please note: Treatment is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Thank you!
